Publishing Administration Support

Created and developed by Musician & Artist Services Coordinator Charles Seaton III, Publishing Administration Support is a coaching program that provides Memphis-affiliated music industry creatives with free administrative support for catalog management. The goal of this program is to help creatives understand what it means to own their music catalogs and how to best take advantage of that ownership, through copyright administration, paperwork administration, and music registration.

Artist/Musician Requirements

  • The artist/musician must have been born/raised in Memphis, currently live in Memphis, or have created music in Memphis.

Benefits for Music Creatives

  • The artist/musician receives individualized assistance organizing their own music catalog, including a catalog audit with the major royalty collection platforms (PRO, MRO, and NROs), assistance with copyrighting works/compositions and recordings, and administrative support in establishing collaboration and split sheet agreements between collaborators and/or co-owners of the publishing and master recording rights.
